The problem
As part of the end-of-month process, investor accounts are reconciled according to the tax and insurance method to comply with tax obligations and maintain financial accuracy. The back office team reviews client-provided documents against financial data from the company's database in a lengthy and error-prone Excel-supported process across SharePoint, Azure SQL, and Outlook.
With the Assistant
Triggers inside SharePoint, where the associate starts by reviewing the Excel allocation sheet. The Assistant automates the creation of a new reconciliation sheet, including folder setup and template adjustments. It then auto-matches closing ledger balances against master data via Azure SQL and highlights results visually for review. Collections data is retrieved automatically. When variances remain unidentified, the Assistant generates PDF evidence sheets and uses GenAI to draft a client notification email. A success summary gives the associate closure before moving on to the next task.
